KOBE (Kyodo) Another of the six eggs recently laid by an endangered Oriental white stork has hatched at a breeding farm in Hyogo Prefecture, but the chick died shortly afterward, the farm said Wednesday.

The egg was the last of the six laid this spring by a 9-year-old Oriental white stork. The stork was artificially bred with her 7-year-old mate before being released into the wild at the Hyogo Prefectural Homeland for the Oriental White Stork in Toyooka on Sept. 24.
