OSAKA (Kyodo) Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. will pull the plug on its home-use gas equipment business in line with efforts to promote electric kitchen and other household appliances, according to company officials.
Matsushita will end production and sale of gas-powered cooking stoves, fan heaters, boilers and other products under the National brand by the end of March, they said.
