The number of visitors to Tokyo Disney Resort’s two theme parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, rose 3.3 percent to 12.04 million in the April-September period compared with a year earlier, the first rise in three years, Oriental Land Co. said Monday.
The number was the second-highest for a fiscal first half, the parks’ operator said.
Oriental Land attributed the increase to a popular parade of Disney characters that began this spring at Disneyland and a series of events commemorating the fifth anniversary of the opening of DisneySea.
