A 20-year-old man was arrested Sunday on suspicion of stabbing a boy to death and seriously injuring a girl in Nobeoka, Miyazaki Prefecture.
Yu Harada allegedly stabbed Kazuyuki Morishige, 16, and the girl, also 16, in the back while they were chatting on a riverbank with three other high school students at around 12:45 a.m. Thursday.
"I stabbed a man and a woman," Harada was quoted as telling investigators.
