A Cessna R172K with four men on board made an emergency landing Monday afternoon at a pasture in Yokoshima, Kumamoto Prefecture, but no one was injured, police said.

According to police, the small plane, piloted by Kozo Yoshino, 37, departed from Ojika Airport in neighboring Nagasaki Prefecture at 11:40 a.m. bound for Kumamoto Airport.

There was no serious damage to the plane, and police quoted Yoshino as saying the engine had suddenly stopped running during flight.
