The Kumamoto District Court on Thursday sentenced a 50-year-old man to 15 years in prison for killing a 20-year-old female college student and abandoning her body last year.
Former part-time worker Hideki Kanado strangled Kumamoto Gakuen University student Chisato Yonemura in her apartment in the city of Kumamoto on Sept. 26, 2003, and then buried the body on Mount Kongo in Nara Prefecture.
