NAGOYA (Kyodo) Toyota Motor Corp. will pay a total of 3 billion yen in September to all its employees, company officials said Thursday.

The payment to the 67,000 employees, including temporary workers, will be a special bonus commemorating the 30th anniversary of the signing of their labor agreement.

Observers say the plan reflects excellent earnings at the nation's largest automaker and is intended to further boost the morale of the employees.

Employees belonging to the labor union will receive on average 50,000 yen each. Those in managerial positions will be paid 60,000 yen each.
