The Miyaji Summary Court in Kumamoto Prefecture ordered a hotel operator and three of its officials Monday to pay 20,000 yen each in fines for refusing to accommodate former Hansen's Disease patients in violation of the Hotel Business Law.

Tokyo-based Aistar Co., which runs Ai-Ladies Kyuden Kurokawa Onsen Hotel in the town of Minamioguni, Kumamoto Prefecture; Atsuko Maeda, 57, the hotel's general manager; Eiichi Nishiyama, 73, a former Aistar president; and Kotomi Naruse, 55, an Aistar executive, accepted the ruling and paid the fines.

The prosecutors had filed a summary indictment earlier in the day against the hotel and the three over the November incident.
