Best Denki Co., an operator of consumer electronics discount stores, said Monday it will open 20 more outlets in stores of struggling retailer Daiei Inc. in its 2004 business year.
The company, which already operates out of 19 Daiei stores, decided on the increase because this method costs less than opening independent stores, the Fukuoka-based company said.
The locations have not yet been determined, the company said.
Best Denki started to open outlets in Daiei stores in March and plans to open the 20th in Numazu, Shizuoka Prefecture, next month.
