The 49-year-old wife of a taxi driver who was fatally stabbed earlier this month at his home in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture, was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder, local police said.
A 47-year-old man was arrested the same day for allegedly carrying out the stabbing.
The suspects were identified as Misuzu Ito and Maresuke Kotera, an acquaintance of the woman. Ito, who said she was perpetually quarreling with her husband, admitted to the allegations during questioning, police said.
According to police investigations, Ito made sure that her husband, Toshinori, 56, was asleep on the night of Sept. 9 before letting Kotera into their home. The man then went up to the second floor bedroom and stabbed the cab driver in the chest.
