NTT West Corp. and NTT Communications Corp. will jointly conduct trials on Internet access via a wireless local area network communications system at West Japan Railway Co.'s Shin-Osaka and Shin-Kobe stations from October to March, the three companies said Thursday.
Internet access facilities will be available in waiting rooms at the two stations. The experiment is aimed at collecting data to determine whether access service in public places will be commercially possible, the companies said.
