NAGOYA – A fire destroyed a house in Kariya, Aichi Prefecture, Sunday afternoon, and rescuers found the charred body of a man believed to have been a 78-year-old occupant of the house, officials said.
According to police, the wooden house of Kiyoshi Hosokawa caught fire around 12:50 p.m. The body believed to be that of Hosokawa was found after the fire had been put out.
