OSAKA -- A police squad car collided with a car at an intersection in Osaka's Konohana Ward early Sunday, but no one was injured in the incident, Osaka police said.
According to investigations, the police car was driving through the intersection at around 3:55 a.m. when officers saw three small scooters, each with two people on them -- a violation of traffic laws. When the police car tried to make a U-turn to chase them, it collided with a car being driven by a 22-year-old woman, police said.
Police are investigating the incident, suspecting that the officers in the squad car were inattentive when making the turn.
