Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi emphasized Friday that Japan's desire to further enhance ties with China remains unchanged under Beijing's new leadership.
"With the 30th anniversary (of the normalization of Japan-China ties this year), it is important to develop friendship between Japan and China," Koizumi told reporters at his official residence. "This remains unchanged under the leadership of Hu Jintao."
