NAGOYA – The municipal government here said Friday it will open a temporary housing shelter and support center this fall for 150 homeless people who have pitched tents in and around the city’s Shirakawa Park.
The facility will be the first concrete move by the government to confront the city’s growing problem of homeless people living in and around city parks.
