FUKUOKA – The wife of a disgraced former Fukuoka High Court judge did not appeal her two-year prison sentence for death threats by the deadline and will have to serve the sentence, her lawyer said Monday.
The Fukuoka District Court on Dec. 19 sentenced Sonoko Furukawa, 40, to two years in prison for threatening a woman she considered a rival in a love affair, as well as for disrupting the business of the woman’s husband.
