SASEBO, Nagasaki Pref. – Japanese and Russian warships began joint drills Saturday morning in waters off the Tsushima Islands in Nagasaki Prefecture, the Maritime Self-Defense Force said.
The 6,700-ton Russian destroyer Admiral Tributs and two MSDF ships are taking part in the exercise in waters southwest of the islands, the MSDF said.
