BEIJING – Japan told China on Monday it will ease visa regulations for Chinese scholars, athletes and cultural mavens starting next year, allowing them to make short, multiple visits to Japan on a single visa.
Japanese Foreign Ministry and immigration officials meeting with their Chinese counterparts in Beijing made the announcement with the aim of promoting bilateral contacts and exchanges to mark the 30th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
