Two men made off with about 17 million yen in cash Tuesday in a post office robbery in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, police said.
The two men, believed to have been armed, jumped over the reception counter at Himeji Hanada Post Office at about 3:10 p.m., grabbed the cash from a safe and made their getaway in a car, police said.
The three female post office employees who were there at the time were unharmed, they said.
The men were both about 175 cm tall and wore dark-colored and maroon raincoats, they said.
