Twenty-three people were injured Saturday in a head-on collision between a bus carrying a high school baseball team and a truck at an intersection in Tobishima, Aichi Prefecture, police said.

The driver of the truck and all 23 aboard the bus — 20 students, two teachers and the driver — were rushed to nearby hospitals after the 6:35 a.m. accident, police said, adding that three students sustained broken bones while the others suffered only minor injuries.
