NEW YORK – U.N. Secretary General Kofi Annan reiterated Friday his call on Japan not to cut its foreign aid, saying it would run counter to U.N. efforts to reverse cuts in such aid by other donor nations.
Speaking at a press conference, Annan said he was concerned when he heard that the Japanese government wanted to cut foreign aid by 3 percent.
