OSAKA — The Osaka District Public Prosecutor’s Office on Wednesday arrested a former director of Nara Medical University Hospital on suspicion of receiving bribes to recruit young doctors for the director of a private hospital here.
Investigators believe Hiroshige Nakano, 60, received more than 1 million yen in cash from Tadayoshi Fujita, 54, head of Kaiseikai Fujita Hospital, in return for recruiting young doctors to work at the latter’s facility.
