The body of a woman was found Friday morning floating in an outer moat of the Imperial Palace.According to metropolitan police, a passerby found the body floating in the moat in a prone position between Shin-mitsuke bridge and Ushigome bridge at around 10:40 a.m. Appearing to be in her 50s, the woman was dressed in a brown shirt and trousers and had been dead for at least a week, police said. She had no external injuries but had decomposed to a great degree, police said.Police were trying to identify the woman and determine whether a crime had been committed in her death, officials said.
