KITAKYUSHU -- An 18-year-old company employee was killed and three others injured, one seriously, when their car collided with a utility pole early July 21 in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture.
Police reported that 18-year-old Daiki Nagaoka of Shimonoseki died from massive head injuries, while the 19-year-old company employee who was behind the wheel during the crash was seriously injured. Police said the accident occurred at about 1:45 a.m. along a Yamaguchi prefectural road and suspect that the driver was speeding. They said they plan to question him on suspicion of involuntary manslaughter.
