TSUNEISHI GROUP (ZHOUSHAN) SHIPBUILDING, Inc., based in Zhoushan City (Location: Xiushan Island, Daishan County, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province, P. R. of China; President: Sachio Okumura) exhibited at MARINTEC CHINA 2017, an international maritime exhibition held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 5 – 8 December 2017. The exhibit, which featured newly developed and constructed ship models and showcased our high technological capabilities in fields such as ship design, highlighted the progressive nature of the TSUNEISHI GROUP (ZHOUSHAN) SHIPBUILDING, Inc.

“MARINTEC CHINA”, Asia’s largest international maritime exhibition, is held biennially and hosts exhibits from over 2,100 international and domestic companies, attracting 65,000 visitors over the four days. TSUNEISHI GROUP (ZHOUSHAN) SHIPBUILDING, Inc. promoted our expanded line-up, introducing a wide range of ships developed in response to diversifying market needs. These included the 2,806 TEU Container Carrier and LR1 (Large Range I) Product Tanker, as well as passenger vessels under development.

In addition to a large screen promoting the new ship models, and a range of displays including model ships and 16 types of propeller models in the booth, we also made presentations covering the current state and prospects of our business activities and introducing our partnerships with local communities. At this exhibition, a special section was reserved for other companies in the TSUNEISHI GROUP — TSUNEISHI IRON WORKS, Tsuneishi Trading, and the company that handles the shipping businesses, KAMBARA KISEN — to communicate the appeal of the group.

Celebrating our 15th year since establishment, TSUNEISHI GROUP (ZHOUSHAN) SHIPBUILDING, Inc. is proactive in pursuing deep local involvement to achieve high-quality shipbuilding in which Chinese leaders and staff play crucial front-line roles. At MARINTEC CHINA 2017, our commitment to progress and to tackling ongoing challenges was demonstrated to the maritime industry, both in China and throughout the world, with the spirit “Our Challenge. Our Pride”.
