Gatsby-inspired cocktail at Swissôtel

Timed with the release of the film “The Great Gatsby” in Japan, the Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is offering a special cocktail, through July 14.

The hotel is Japan’s only member of the Fairmont Raffles Hotels International group, whose affiliate The Plaza in New York served as a setting for “The Great Gatsby” and is the official partner hotel for the new film.

Inspired by the decadent life of the title character played by Leonardo DiCaprio, the special drink called Party Time is a lemon-tea-based Champagne cocktail made with Moët & Chandon, another official partner of the film.

The cocktail is available at the hotel’s Sh’un restaurant and the Lounge at ¥1,900, including tax but subject to a service charge.

Customers showing a receipt from Sh’un or The Lounge at the box office of Namba Parks Cinema can get a ¥200 discount on a ¥1,800 ticket for “The Great Gatsby,” while those showing the stub from the film can get a 5 percent discount on the cocktail.

The Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is located above Nankai Namba Station. For more information or reservations, visit www.swissotel.com/hotels/nankai-osaka .
