Architectural art — illustrations, watercolor paintings and intricate models — rarely reaches the public eye. Next week in Tokyo, it will take center stage.
For only the second time in its history, the “Architecture in Perspective 39” exhibition will take place in the capital. The event, organized by the American Society of Architectural Illustrators (ASAI), will be held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Chiyoda Ward from Oct. 1 to 3.
A parallel exhibition, “Architectural Visualization: Global Exchange ASAI39 & JARA2025,” is currently taking place at Waseda Gallery until Oct. 8. Held in collaboration with the Japan Architecture Renderers Association, it features the same works.
