Nature played such a prominent role in Daisuke Fujita’s childhood that, for a long time, he didn’t realize how much it meant to him.
“I grew up running around in the tangerine fields from a very young age. There was a small hill behind my house, and without even being aware of it, I smelled the scent of the trees and felt the greenness around me,” says Fujita, who releases sample-heavy electronic music under the name “Meitei.”
“I never thought I even liked nature.”
