Daniel Radcliffe plays an Australian orphan in his first non-"Harry Potter" film.
During a Christmas vacation on the southern coast of Australia, four kids who have been brought up in a Catholic orphanage — Radcliffe, Misty (Lee Cormie), Spark (Christian Byers) and Spit (James Fraser) — learn that a local couple are considering adoption. While three of the boys compete for the couple's attention, Radcliffe flirts with a local girl and learns about fags, booze and sex.
