For the wealthy who enjoy spending time in Japan, a breathtaking piece of property in the heart of Tokyo is the ultimate souvenir.

In the fashionable neighborhood of Daikanyama in Tokyo, a 215-square-meter high-rise condominium unit is sitting empty, waiting for a new buyer. The condo’s features — including a spacious walk-in closet, multiple large bedrooms, a private balcony and an open kitchen — are of particular interest to foreign buyers.

The unit, which is listed at ¥1.48 billion ($10.10 million), won't stay empty for long, said Alex Shapiro, co-founder and chief operating officer of Blackship Realty, explaining that condos exceeding 200 square meters are in short supply in Tokyo.
