The Sendai 89ers rolled to their 11th straight win on Saturday, downing the Toyama Grouses 86-78.

Sendai big man Jeral Davis was virtually unstoppable, scoring 28 points on 13-for-17 shooting. He added eight rebound and three blocks for the 89ers (33-14).

89ers star Kejuan Johnson finished with 26 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds for his second triple-double of the season, while Takehiko Shimura dished out seven assists. Yasuhiko Wada was 3-for-3 on 3-point shots in an 11-point effort for Sendai.

The offense heated up in the fourth quarter in Toyama, with the 89ers outscoring the Grouses 35-33 to close out the game.

Joe Werner paced Toyama (31-16) with 28 points and Sam Willard had 20 points, 20 rebounds and five assists.

The Grouses shot 4-for-26 from beyond the arc.

Crane Thunders 75, B-Corsairs 57

In Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, the hosts played opportunistic, smart defense — made numerous deflections and applied pressure all over the court — in a comprehensive win over Yokohama.

The Crane Thunders (18-29) had 11 steals (four apiece by Daniel Northern Jr. and Masanobu Ito) and seven blocks (four by Northern, three by Melvin Ely).

Yokohama (14-33) turned the ball over 20 times, though it appeared to be closer to 25 to press observers sitting courtside.

Carlos Dixon paced the hosts with 19 points, Northern poured in 14 with 10 rebounds and Andre Murray had 10 points. Kenya Tomori added six points and Ely, an ex-NBA big man, provided five points and 10 boards.

After the game, Gunma coach Charlie Parker praised his team's hustle and high-energy performance at both ends of the floor, citing Northern as the team's inside defensive stopper and Ito as its outside defensive stopper. Parker said that is the type of all-out effort his team will need to secure a playoff spot.

Albirex BB 93, Brave Warriors 64

In Nagano, Patrick Sullivan had 19 points and Yuichi Ikeda poured in 18 for red-hot Niigata, which has won six straight games.

Thomas Kennedy added 16 points for the Albirex (32-15).

Terrance Jennings and Junki Kano each had 14 points for Shinshu (19-28).

Hannaryz 96, Susano Magic 69

In Maizuru, Kyoto Prefecture, Reggie Warren's 20-point, seven-rebound, five-assist effort sparked the hosts in a rout of Shimane.

David Palmer canned 4 of 6 3s in a 16-point effort and three teammates also scored in double figures for West-leading Kyoto (39-8).

The Susanoo Magic trailed 40-27 at halftime.

The Hannaryz, meanwhile, shot 54.5 percent from 3-point range and 56.4 from inside the arc. They were 16-for-18 at the charity stripe.

Bingo Merriex paced Shimane (18-29) with 14 points.

Evessa 75, Five Arrows 71

In Osaka, Josh Dollard scored 22 points, Seth Tarver poured in 20 and Shota Konno had 13 for the hosts.

Dollard dished out a team-high eight assists for the Evessa (26-21). Gary Hamilton added seven points, 12 boards and six assists. Takuya Soma supplied eight points for Osaka.

B.J. Puckett paced Takamatsu (14-33) with 22 points.

Lakestars 80, HeatDevils 76

In Beppu, Oita Prefecture, Jeff Parmer's 15-point, 11-rebound, five-assist, two-block performance helped carry Shiga past the HeatDevils.

Terrance Woodbury scored a team-best 22 points, including 9-for-11 at the line, for the Lakestars (32-16), winners of six straight. Yu Okada poured in 19 points, draining four 3s, and Masahiro Kano added 11.

Taishiro Shimizu and Kellen Thornton both scored 16 points for Oita (17-31).

Northern Happinets 90, Wat's 73

In Aomori, Deshawn Stephens put 23 points on the board and Richard Roby added 22 as Akita cruised past the hosts.

Yuto Otsuka and Shigehiro Taguchi finished with 14 and 10 points, respectively, for the Northern Happinets (37-10), and Ryosuke Mizumachi handed out five assists.

Gordon Klaiber led Aomori (23-24) with 18 points and Gyno Pomare scored 16.

Big Bulls 112, Broncos 72

In Hanamaki, Iwate Prefecture, the Big Bulls dominated the boards with jaw-dropping effectiveness and hammered hapless Saitama.

Iwate hauled in 63 rebounds and held the Broncos (5-42) to 23.

Gonzaga University product Abdullahi Kuso was Iwate's leading rebounder with 13, Scootie Randall collected 10 and Wayne Arnold nine.

Randall was the Big Bulls' top scorer with 23 points on 8-for-12 shooting and Shota Onodera had 17. Three teammates also scored in double figures.

Nyika Williams had 20 points for Saitama.

East-leading Iwate (38-9) improved to 19-4 at home.

Firebonds 74, Cinq Reves 69

In Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, Masaya Karimata buried five 3s in a game-high 26-point performance and backcourt mate Verdell Jones III had 23 points and nine assists as Fukushima edged Tokyo.

James Hughes added 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Firebonds (18-29) and Edward Morris provided eight points and 10 boards for the first-year franchise, which held Tokyo to 11 fourth-quarter points.

The Cinq Reves (5-42) led 42-35 at halftime.

Will Foster had 19 points, 20 rebounds and five blocks for Tokyo. Jemal Farmer added 17 points for the visitors.
