This week, the Aomori Wat's made a pair of roster moves in advance of the season's second half, adding an older, more experienced veteran.

The second-year bj-league franchise on Tuesday released 203-cm small forward Damian Saunders, who is 26.

Two days later, Aomori announced that 206-cm small forward Gordon Klaiber, who had played in all 52 regular-season games for the squad last season and averaged a team-best 17.2 points, was returning to the Wat's.

The 31-year-old Klaiber, a Fairleigh Dickinson University product, also led Aomori in 3-pointers (128) in the 2013-14 campaign. He has suited up for the Saitama Broncos, Kyoto Hannaryz and Iwate Big Bulls in past seasons.

Saunders, a Duquesne University alum, averaged 10.6 points, 5.7 rebounds and a league-best 2.5 steals in 30 games (four starts).

The Wat's (16-14) sit in sixth place in the 12-team Eastern Conference, and they have gone 5-5 over their past 10 games.

Aomori plays host to East rival Niigata Albirex BB (19-11) on Feb. 7-8.
