Yoshitomo Tani belted a solo homer to lead off the bottom of the 12th inning as the Orix BlueWave edged the PL frontrunning Fukuoka Daiei Hawks 4-3 at Yahoo BB Stadium on Friday.

Tied 1-1 in the fifth, Tadahito Iguchi and Nobuhiko Matsunaka smacked back-to-back RBI singles to give the Hawks the lead.

Second-year pitcher Otake gave up five runs on five hits over one inning of work in his first career appearance.
