North Korea has completed its entry for next month's World Championships in Paris, a qualifying event for next year's Athens Olympics, table tennis sources said Thursday.

The country has made an entry for four women and two men in the singles competitions for the May 19-25 event. North Korea is known for its strength in table tennis as it beat China in the women's team competition final in last fall's Pusan Asian Games.

Included among the women for the Paris championships are ace paddler Kim Hyon Hui, one of the gold medal-winning members at the Asian Games, and Kim Yun Mi, also on the team and a bronze medalist in the singles event at the 2001 World Championships in Osaka.
