Japanese rider Daijiro Kato was still in a critical condition on Monday, a day after sustaining serious head, neck and chest injuries in a high-speed crash at the Japanese Grand Prix.
Marshals carry Daijiro Kato to an ambulance after the Japanese MotoGP rider crashed during the Japan Grand Prix on Sunday. Kato is in a coma and said to be ``fighting for his life.''
"He is still in a coma. Basically, there is no change from last night. He is getting round-the-clock treatment but he has not regained consciousness," a Suzuka official said.
