The JRA's selection panel chose Symboli Kris S after the 3-year-old colt won two prestigious Grade One titles -- the Tenno-sho (autumn) in October and the Arima Kinen in December.
The Kentucky-born son of Kris S is owned by Symboli Stud and trained by Kazuo Fujisawa.
