Ski-jumper Kazuyoshi Funaki, a double-gold medal winner at the 1998 Nagano Olympics, has been named captain of the Japanese team for the upcoming Winter Asian Games in Aomori, Japanese sports sources said Thursday.
Speedskater Tomomi Okazaki, bronze medalist in the women's 500 meters in Nagano, will be the flag-bearer leading the delegation of host Japan at the Feb. 1 opening ceremony.
