Katsuaki Furuki, Boi Rodriguez and Makoto Fukumoto drove in five of Yokohama’s six runs in the fifth inning and the last-place BayStars routed the Yakult Swallows 7-1 on Sunday.

Yakult catcher Tomohito Yoneno allowed a runner to score from third on a passed ball in the fifth inning and — two outs later — Yokohama erupted for five hits to take a 6-0 lead at Yokohama Stadium.

Takuro Ishii went 2-for-3 and scored a run while Tomohide Shichino and Rodriguez both tripled to highlight the BayStars’ eight-hit attack.
