Electing Donald Trump might have been a gamble. He could potentially be one of the most controversial presidents in the history of the United States, but there have been presidents in the past, most notably Bill Clinton, who have been equally questionable. With the influence of the media I don't think any president has ever come out completely clean.

I highly doubt that Trump will replicate all of the ignorant comments he made during the campaign and despite him not having a background in politics, I believe that he is very experienced in terms of leadership.

I still believe that ethnic minorities will lose out to some extent as a result of the election. However, I think he is a risk worth taking considering the fact that politicians in the past haven't been able to make much of an impact, and if Hillary Clinton were to have become president, it would have been more of the same. By bringing in a powerful, experienced businessman, the country could return to a position that it is used to being in. We will have to wait and see what social changes he will make, but I think he is more than capable of leaving a positive mark in terms of economics.
