Regarding the story "Japan's first hedgehog-themed cafe opens in Tokyo" in the April 9 edition, a hedgehog cafe is very, very wrong for so many reasons.
Cats and rabbits, they like to be petted. Hedgehogs are not for petting — they hate it. They are nocturnal animals and should be left alone.
Hedgehog lovers in the U.K. are horrified that you are setting up these themed cafes. I have also read of owls being tethered all day for owl cafes
Come on, Japan. This should be about animal welfare, not profit.
