In his Jan. 20 letter, “Radiation results beggar belief,” Giovanni Fazio expresses dismay that doctors working in Fukushima are not finding dangerous levels of radiation in children.
Actually nothing could be more expected. International scientific bodies like the World Health Organization have not found the risk of adverse health effects for Fukushima residents to be anything other than negligible. The only thing that beggars belief is the inability on the part of Fazio to accept reality.
