Due to the fall in the economy, price increases on daily products and the high costs of schooling for kids, young people are thinking twice before deciding to have kids.
My suggestion is to eliminate the tuition fee for kids attending kindergarten and pre-school. Lots of funds are given to other countries out of people's taxes; this is the time for Japan to use more of its taxes for its own people!
I am 36 and from India. My wife and I are both working. We have a 3-year-old who has started going to kindergarten, which is very expensive. We had good savings before the child was born, but the savings have been depleted even though we both work. There are some limitations on my wife's salary because of the time given to child care.
In this situation we cannot even think about having a next child, which we want.
