I am a 17-year-old student from Ireland. While on the Internet, I stumbled across the March 30 article by Roger Pulvers titled "Ireland -- from the quintessence of reaction -- to what." I have never read an article that has captured my imagination so greatly. Never has my nation's soul and the identity of my people been more accurately and eloquently described than in the mentioned piece.
In its simplicity it discusses our nation's suffering, its past, its bright future and its contribution to the world, all of which in my view are (misunderstood) internationally. This article has truly touched me and all those to whom I have shown it. It is a credit to the author and to your fine publication.
