Tokyo Gov. Shintaro Ishihara is sure to push ahead with his bid for Tokyo to host the 2016 Olympic Games now that he has been re-elected. What he doesn’t realize is that he is the biggest obstacle to Tokyo ever being selected.
The Olympics are the world’s premiere sports event, one of the main purposes of which is to promote peace and cooperation among all nations of the world. I seriously doubt that the International Olympic Committee would award such an event to a city with a governor that appears to some as a racist xenophobic misogynist.
