Tokyo confirmed 4,355 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, down 409 from a week earlier and falling below the week-before level for the fifth consecutive day.
The capital also logged seven COVID-19 deaths, while the seven-day average of new infections grew 0.5% from a week before to 3,695.3, according to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
