Wacoal Holdings Corp. announced Monday a recall of around 10,000 pairs of potentially flammable pyjamas sold by its subsidiary.

The underwear maker will recall five kinds of pyjamas sold under the name Unna Kuru. The garments were sold from its shops and via catalog shopping websites between October 2014 and March.

The pyjamas use fluffy textiles and have been found to catch fire easily, a blaze known as a flash fire. This can be triggered from something as simple as a spark from a kitchen stove, the company said.

Wacoal started recalling the product on March 29 but has only collected 1,500 sets so far. For more information, call the firm's customer service at 0120-056-023.
