The ruling Liberal Democratic Party and its coalition partner, Komeito, said Wednesday their secretaries-general will make a four-day trip to China from Dec. 2 for talks with senior officials of the Chinese Communist Party.

Sadakazu Tanigaki of the LDP, which is headed by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and Yoshihisa Inoue of Komeito will visit Qingdao on Dec. 2 before traveling to Beijing the following day.

On Dec. 4, they will hold a consultative meeting with senior Communist Party officials, resuming the dialogue between the two countries' ruling parties that has been suspended since February 2009.
