Japan Post plans to expand its mail-order tie-up with Isetan and Mitsukoshi department stores, offering a far wider array of products for order at post offices nationwide.
Japan Post, a subsidiary of state-owned Japan Post Holdings Co., and Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd. will jointly issue the JP Select mail-order catalog, featuring a wide range of products selected by the department stores, the two companies announced Monday.
Japan Post's mail-order business has involved mostly local specialty foods. But the new catalog will expand the product offerings to including clothing and interior goods from the Isetan and Mitsukoshi department stores.
