Honda Motor Co. will recall a combined 455,029 vehicles in 12 models, including the popular N Box minicar, to fix transmission and braking system problems.

In two reports filed Thursday with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, Honda said the five models with the continually variable transmission flaw were made between December 2011 and last month, while the seven models with the brake flaw were made between January and November 2006.

The models with the CVT flaw include the N One minicar in addition to the N Box, which was Japan's best-selling minivehicle in fiscal 2012.

Among the seven models with the brake problem are the Airwave station wagon, the Mobilio Spike compact wagon, the Integra sports car and the S2000 roadster.
