Fifteen people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a collision between a train and a truck at a crossing in Takasago, Hyogo Prefecture, police said.

Of the 15 hurt, 13 were passengers on the six-car train operated by Sanyo Electric Railway Co. The drivers of the truck and train were also injured.

The train passengers and the truck driver suffered slight injuries, while the train driver suffered multiple fractures.

Two of the six train cars derailed, the police said.

The accident occurred at around 3:50 p.m. at a crossing near Arai Station.

Sanyo Electric Railway, based in Kobe, operates the railway line linking Kobe with Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture.
